Football Discussion - Arsenal Really Are In a Downward Spiral

Amazing how the tide has turned so much at Arsenal in 2017. I think Wenger is increasingly likely to call his time at the end of the season now. The fact that he's hinted to the fan's opinion being a consideration in his decision speaks volumes.

The team's performance overall is just dire. Bar the win against Lincoln last weekend, the Arsenal players are playing in their own shadows. The issue that the club has to be careful of is losing key players like Sanchez in the summer. He's clearly not happy, and if Arsenal (for once) dropped and stayed out of the top four by the end of the season, it'll be very difficult to acquire good players for a relatively good price and climb back in next season.

The league has never been so competitive!

I agree. I think they might be struggling now to even make the top 4. The best thing for them is to win the FA Cup.

We'll see. I believe that Arsene Wenger will state this week that he's stepping down at the end of the season.

There is still a lot of work to be done for them until the end of the season. An easy game against Manchester City after the Internationals!
